Kelly Gibbons
Optometrist/Director
Kelly is an Optometrist & has owned Wodonga Eyecare since 2004. She loves Optometry & the challenge of diagnosing & treating eye disease. She has special interests in therapeutics, children’s vision & shooting vision. What she really loves is seeing her loyal customers & having a good chat! She has lived in the North East for 14 years & is lucky to have found such a great place to raise her kids. She enjoys riding her horse Stan, living out near the Hume Dam & working with a dedicated & good humoured bunch of people at Wodonga Eyecare.
Akaansha Narain
Optometrist
Akaansha completed her Bachelor Of Vision Science and Masters of Optometry at Deakin University. Her journey into the world of Optometry started with her first pair of spectacles as a 13 year old and subsequent wearing of contact lenses later on. So regular visits to the Optometrist led to an interest in the profession she is in today. She has a special interest in the fitting of specialty contact lenses and the management of dry eyes. Besides all things eye health, she loves a good session at the gym, a nice cup of coffee and a good book.
Alex Jones
Practice Manager/Optical Dispenser
Lex has been an Optical Dispenser at Wodonga Eyecare since early 2014. She completed her certificate IV Optical Dispensing in Echuca in 2007. Lex has a great understanding of optics and mechanics required to create successful prescription eyewear. She is passionate about finding the best eyewear solution for each individual patient. In her spare time Lex enjoys camping and 4WD with her husband and two young kids.
Janet Pauline
Reception/ Optical Dispenser
Janet has been working at Wodonga Eyecare since July 2011. Since starting as a receptionist she has expanded her ability in the optical world to become one of the dispensers. She loves the challenge of finding the right frame for everyone and making sure everyone is satisfied with their choice. In her spare time Janet makes childrens clothing, likes to rock and roll and loves going on a Pacific cruise.
Kurt Gibbons
Reception/Optical Dispenser
Wodonga Eyecare are thrilled to welcome Kurt back to the team. Kurt is one of the owners of Wodonga Eyecare and he brings with him his amazing broad skills in the areas of computers and electronics, optical despensing, electrical work, bookeeping and reception. He is our "fix it man" and keeps the WEC machine running smoothly and efficently. He's a keen fossicker for rocks and gems and enjoys a wide variety of music and art festival.
Belinda Mayne
Optical Dispenser
Belinda is one of our optical dispensers. She has been working at Wodonga Eyecare since 2014, orginally in an administrative capacity, then becoming qualified as an optical dispenser in 2021. She enjoys working for an independent optical clinic that focuses on their patients needs and looks forward to exploring the best optical solution for each individuals lifestyle. Belinda is the creative one in the WEC team! You'll often see some of her talent instore with special occasion decorations and artwork. In her spare time she enjoys painting, camping and walks with her hubby and dog.
